time for you
your service as action journey
how to make your own project
start with something you care about. identify a need in your school, community, or the world. plan what action you can take, gather a team if needed, and begin. use the design cycle to guide your process: investigate, plan, take action, and reflect.
types of service
there are four kinds of service you can do:
direct: interacting with people (e.g. tutoring)
indirect: helping behind the scenes (e.g. packaging kits)
advocacy: raising awareness (e.g. posters, campaigns)
research: investigating an issue to inform action
why service matters?
service as action is more than just a task — it’s an opportunity to grow as a person. through service, you build confidence, improve your communication and leadership skills, and learn how to solve real problems. it connects what you study in class with the world around you and helps you understand your role in creating change. most importantly, it teaches empathy, responsibility, and global awareness while helping you discover what truly matters to you.
reflection helps you learn from what you did. think about what worked, what didn’t, and how you grew. you can write, record videos, create visuals — whatever helps you process your experience meaningfully.
